Mumbai: Ajay Devgn has completed 60 percent shoot of his film Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and is progressing with the film at a frenetic pace. The film will see him playing the role of Tanaji Malusare, a 17th-century Maratha military leader.

Ajay, who had to take out time for the promotions of Total Dhamaal, had to schedule his shooting dates accordingly for the period drama.

“The shoot is still going on and we have completed over 60 per cent of the film,” says Ajay in a media interaction where he had come in the capacity of the producer for Total Dhamaal. The film, which released last week, has grossed '92 crores and is closing in on the coveted '100 crore benchmark.

“Total Dhamaal was a big film and the film is an adventure comedy and to take it to a big scale we needed a lot of support and hence I became a part of the film in producing it,” admits Ajay whose contribution to the film is also through the VFX which has been done by his company NYVFXwala.

“My name is in the Limca Book of Records for doing the first CG in my country. And that point of time, I did it myself. Technically, I’ve always been savvy,” says the actor-filmmaker about his lesser-known passion.
