Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched an initiative to wish our soldiers Happy Diwali through a new website and app formed for it. And our Bollywood stars have also supported the government’s initiative with Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan among others posting on social media their wishes in the form of videos.
And now, Shah Rukh Khan has also joined the initiative, taking to Twitter to share a video where he conveys his Diwali wishes to everyone and also recites a beautiful poem for the soldiers to wish them.
The poem he recited: ‘Our feet on carpets, their boots on gravel, our days are steady theirs new challenges unravel, our nights blissful, theirs stressful, it’s our life to live because it’s theirs to give, the heroes should not remain unsung because we can’t imagine their plight, our country grows stronger and bolder because there is a fight, a fight of a soldier.’
Shah Rukh also urged everyone to have a safe Diwali, without crackers and smoke, but the superstar finds it ironic when a firecracker explodes behind him at the same time.
Other stars like Hrithik Roshan and Suniel Shetty also conveyed wishes to soldiers on Twitter on Sunday.
