Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan is one of the most anticipated films of this year. Mounted on a gargantuan scale, it is touted to be the biggest film made by Yash Raj. Now, we hear that it may be one of the longest as well, clocking at well over three hours in length.
“They’re discussing whether the film should be trimmed or not. Gone are the days when people would watch long movies in theatres. Now, marketing and distribution teams understand that shorter films mean more shows. So Aditya Chopra and Aamir Khan have to decide what to do,” a source says.
If you remember, Aamir Khan’s Lagaan, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, was a good three hours 42 minutes long. But that was nearly two decades ago.
