Chat show preparations: Priyanka Chopra likes to keep it real, does no homework
Mumbai: From being a household name in India to becoming a global sensation, Priyanka Chopra’s success story is one that inspires many. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star started her international career with ABC Network’s series ‘Quantico’ and then featured as the very sexy villain in multi-starrer ‘Baywatch’.
While her first film did not do well at the box office and was panned by critics, PeeCee has moved on since and is now filming her second Hollywood project-- A Kid Like Jake— starring Jim Parsons, Claire Danes and Octavia Spencer.
But one thing that leaves us mesmerised is the superstar’s infectious energy on live chat shows. Remember her playing Holi with Jimmy Fallon? Or, the latest '73 Questions with Vogue'?
How does she do it?
“I say this wherever I go: I am not someone who believes in prepping. I am very organic. A chat show cannot be pre-planned, otherwise, it would look dull or rehearsed. I am not afraid of people asking me questions,” Priyanka had reportedly said.
The gorgeous lady, who is also rumoured to be starring alongside Liam Hemsworth, Adam Devine and Rebel Wilson in ‘Isn’t It Romantic’, added, “I have built my career in front of the camera. I know how it is. I just try and be myself wherever I go, and I think people love that. And, that is the best way to be. I enjoy doing chat shows because I get to be myself, as opposed to me playing a character on screen.”
Although Priyanka has not signed any Bollywood films yet, she is reportedly on the lookout for that perfect script and has, in fact, shortlisted a few.
Purple Pebble Pictures, Chopra’s production house, is producing a Sikkimese film named ‘Pahuna’, the first poster of which was revealed at the Cannes Film festival this year.
