The elusive Rekha, who does not seem to be elusive any longer, with her being spotted at every awards night and almost every film premiere, showed up on Saturday for a special screening of an Amitabh Bachchan starrer.
One would think she would stay away from any filmy do around the actor, considering the history that they share, but nowadays Rekha makes it a point to be seen as close to the Bachchan parivar as possible. Recently, she has begun grabbing Abhishek and Aishwarya anywhere she meets them to shower them with hugs and praise.
She also makes it a point to greet Jaya Bachchan like a long-lost sister. “All this affection towards the Bachchan family is very embarrassing for them. Abhishek and Aishwarya are too polite to not reciprocate. But, Jayaji, who is not known to hide her feelings, makes her discomfort at Rekhaji’s PDA quite obvious,” says a friend of the Bachchans.
The latest I-love-the-Bachchans scene from Rekha was her appearance at a special screening of 102 Not Out. She generally avoids attending Big B’s film premieres. But this time she apparently couldn’t resist being a part of the gathering.
Both during and after the film she was heard praising it, especially Big B’s performance. Rekha’s way of letting the world know that her heart still beats for a certain Mr B.
