Hours before Azhar trailer launch, Emraan Hashmi unveils film's motion poster

Mumbai: The teaser of forthcoming film 'Azhar' gave us a glimpse into the life of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin played by Emraan Hashmi. Now, it's going to get bigger and better as the team is all set to unveil the trailer today. Hours before the launch, Emraan shared the motion poster of the film directed by Tony D'Souza.

The film revolves around Azharuddin, who led the Indian cricket team for most of the 1990s. He was implicated in a match-fixing scandal in 2000, and banned for life. But later in 2012, the Andhra Pradesh High Court lifted the ban.

In the motion poster, one can see him sitting on a bench, with a bag of money at his feet, a metaphor for the match-fixing scandal. Emraan has been lauded for adopting the gait and body language of the cricketer-turned-politician.

The team also unveiled the first look of other actors, Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri. While Prachi will be seen playing Azharuddin’s first wife, Naureen, Nargis will essay the role of his girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani.
