Exclusive: No legal battle, Vidya's Begum Jaan to release on schedule

Vidya Balan starrer Begum Jaan was in a bit of a limbo following some friction between the film’s producers (Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt) and its distributors. The film was to release in March, but due to a bunch of reasons, the release date got pushed to April 14.

Says a source, “There was a legal battle going on between Mukesh Bhatt and the film’s distributor because the latter couldn’t make certain payments on time. Bhatt is now trying to bring on board a corporate that can pull the team out of the situation so that the film can stick to the revised release, that is April 14.” We tried to contact Mukesh Bhatt for a confirmation on the same, but hadn’t received a response in time.
