The makers of Fan want to bring out the psychotic lover-boy character that SRK played in the film Darr.

Shah Rukh Khan established himself as an actor who was loved by everyone despite being a villain in Darr. The iconic film directed by late Yash Chopra had SRK playing a crazy lover boy. Chasing a girl who loved another man, SRK’s portrayal of the character turned out to be one of the highlights of his career.
Now, in his upcoming film Fan, directed by Maneesh Sharma, the makers plan to bring out the same essence in Gaurav. Gaurav plays Aryan’s die-hard fan in the film but according to reports, he turns obsessive and creates trouble in his idol’s life. Maneesh had planned this much in advance before the film went on floors.
Shah Rukh plays himself and Gaurav, a double role, and according to him it has been very challenging.
