Hyderabad: ‘Sarassu Gnapakalu’ by Itukala Ramesh Yadav was selected as the best short film at the Bathukamma Young Filmmakers Challenge, and ‘Sontha Illu’ was runner-up followed by ‘Atma Gouravam’. The competition was for short films and songs based on welfare schemes implemented by the Congress government

‘Bathukamma’ by Darpalli Sai Kumar was adjuged best video song, followed by ‘Bathukamma Samburam’ and ‘Akasham anchulu daati’. Consolation prizes were awarded to ‘Ramanna uyyalo’ and ‘Drugs paina prathigna’.
Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao and Telangana Film Development corporation chairman Dil Raju presented prizes and certificates to the winners.
