There’s no stopping Nandamuri Balakrishna as his stardom continues to soar. His upcoming film ‘Akhanda 2’ is reportedly being made on a record-breaking budget of ₹200 crore, the highest in his illustrious career.

According to industry sources, the makers have spared no expense — with portions already shot in the Himalayas, Maha Kumbh Mela, and lavishly constructed sets. A crucial schedule in Nepal, where Balakrishna is expected to shoot for a week, is still pending and boasts of thousands of VFX shots which would be acting to cost factor.
Balakrishna’s previous outing, Daaku Maharaaj, was said to be made on a budget of ₹130 crore. With Akhanda 2, the producers are clearly going all out to create an emotionally and visually captivating experience.
What sets Akhanda 2 apart is its ambition to go truly pan-India. The makers are meticulously crafting scenes and dialogues tailored to resonate with Hindi-speaking audiences, aiming for a massive nationwide release. Centered around themes of Hindu religion and culture, the film is expected to strike a chord beyond the Telugu heartland.
Balakrishna’s Aghora avatar, a major highlight of the film, is designed to enthrall viewers globally, promising intense screen presence and spiritual undertones.
After winning hearts in Telugu states and among the diaspora in the US, Balakrishna is now eyeing the North Indian market, with hopes of expanding his reach across the country.
“This is Balakrishna’s most authentic pan-India film yet. With its universal theme and his electrifying performance, Akhanda 2 is poised to make a strong impact nationwide,” a source concludes.
