Balakrishna Prays at Varanasi, Calls for Upholding Sanatana Dharma
Despite the mixed box-office outcome, Balakrishna expressed happiness over his visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and remains confident that Akhanda 2 will stand as another milestone in his career.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, fondly known as Balayya, recently visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, where he offered special pujas and sought divine blessings. The visit comes in the wake of the release of his latest film Akhanda 2, which hit screens on December 12.
Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna stressed the importance of Sanatana Dharma, stating that it is everyone’s collective responsibility to protect and preserve it. He said portraying a “Sanatana soldier” in Akhanda 2 gave him immense personal satisfaction, adding that the film’s core message has strongly resonated with audiences.
Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda 2 blends spirituality, high-octane action, and mass elements. Balakrishna’s fierce screen presence, powerful dialogues, and elevation scenes have struck a chord with fans. The film’s music, composed by S.S. Thaman, has emerged as one of its major highlights.
Produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the film has received a mixed response overall. While it performed well in Telugu states, Akhanda 2 failed to make a significant impact in North India, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. In Karnataka alone, the film reportedly collected around Rs 4 crore against a trade value of Rs 8 crore.
Despite the mixed box-office outcome, Balakrishna expressed happiness over his visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and remains confident that Akhanda 2 will stand as another milestone in his career.
