Baahubali Returns: The Epic Teaser Clubbed With Coolie and War 2?

A one-minute teaser of the 3-hour-45-minute cut titled Baahubali: The Epic will screen from August 14, attached to Coolie and War 2 in theaters across India and overseas

Ten years after Baahubali: The Beginning redefined Indian cinema, S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus is set for a grand comeback — this time in a never-before-seen format.

The two-part blockbuster, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, has been re-edited into a single 3-hour-45-minute cut titled Baahubali: The Epic.

This seamless version trims select scenes and songs, adds previously unseen footage, and presents the saga as one continuous narrative. It will release worldwide on October 31, 2025, coinciding with Prabhas’ birthday week and the film’s 10th anniversary year.
Fans won’t have to wait long for a preview — a one-minute teaser will screen from August 14, attached to Coolie and War 2 in theaters across India and overseas.
Tollywood’s recent fascination with re-releases has seen one clear frontrunner: Superstar Mahesh Babu. His 2010 film Khaleja has enjoyed a phenomenal theatrical revival, drawing packed houses from Hyderabad to smaller towns like Miryalaguda.
According to a distributor, Khaleja has record breaking collections, setting a new benchmark for re-released films. “The response has been phenomenal. Khaleja garnered over ₹13 crore — a figure usually reserved for new releases and now we have to see how Baahubali The Epic would outwit these collections,” he said.
While other big names like Chiranjeevi (Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari), Jr NTR (Yamadonga), Pawan Kalyan (Gabbar Singh), and Prabhas (Salaar) have also enjoyed strong re-release runs, Mahesh Babu’s consistency stands out. He is credited with pioneering the modern re-release wave in Tollywood with Athadu, followed by Businessman and now Khaleja. “I can’t take names, but Mahesh Babu is more crowd-pleasing,” the distributor quipped.
