A photograph reignited emotions during the elaborate shoot of 'Puli'

Shruti Haasan recently opened up about an emotional memory involving Sridevi during the filming of Puli. Despite the grandeur of the fantasy film's production, a simple act of sharing a photo revealed a tender side to the iconic actress. "She was peculiarly innocent till the very end," Shruti said, speaking about Sridevi’s pure-hearted nature.
According to Shruti, it was her father, Kamal Haasan, who suggested sending Sridevi a nostalgic photograph. The moment Sridevi saw the image — herself sitting on her mother's lap — she was immediately moved to tears. "In two seconds, makeup for Puli was really elaborate and big. She was just in tears and she’s like, ‘Can I talk to him? I want to talk about this memory,’" Shruti shared.
Even though Sridevi carried herself with majestic authority on set, this sudden burst of raw emotion reminded Shruti of the genuine warmth behind the actress’s powerful exterior. "Like the queen has entered," she said, describing Sridevi’s usual magnetic presence.
