Allu Arjun, Samantha in the Running for Atlee’s Next Action Movie
After ‘Oo Antava’ spark and S/O Satyamurthy success, the duo could team up again for a big-ticket entertainer
If industry buzz is to be believed, Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun may join forces with the ever-charming Samantha Ruth Prabhu for a high-voltage action entertainer helmed by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Atlee. The yet-to-be-titled pan-India project is already generating massive hype, and Samantha is reportedly a strong contender for the female lead.
“Samantha’s Bollywood breakthrough with The Family Man 2 and Honey Bunny makes her an ideal choice for a project targeting pan-India appeal,” says a source close to the production. “Atlee was initially keen on casting a Bollywood actress but is open to reuniting Allu Arjun and Samantha, especially after the sizzling chemistry they displayed in the chartbuster ‘Oo Antava Maava’.”
Following his blockbuster run with Rashmika Mandanna in the Pushpa series, Allu Arjun is said to be eyeing an even bigger footprint in the Hindi market. “With top Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone and Janhvi Kapoor tied up with other Tollywood projects, Samantha has both the availability and star power required—plus, she has bulk dates open from May,” the source adds.
The Allu Arjun–Samantha duo previously delivered a hit with S/O Satyamurthy, where their characters Vijay Anand and Sameera were widely appreciated by Telugu audiences. “Their on-screen pairing was a highlight, and if they collaborate again, it could be cinematic gold. However, official confirmation is still awaited,” the insider concludes.
