Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's Pushpa 2: The Rule is creating history at the box office, smashing one record after another. The highly anticipated sequel, which hit theaters on December 5, entered the ₹800 crore-club in just four days, marking a remarkable achievement for the Indian film industry.
In addition to its global success, the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has been on a box office rampage. The film dethroned major blockbusters such as Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, Pathaan, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, and Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, emerging as the fastest film to gross ₹300 crore in Hindi.
Pushpa 2 has broken several significant records over its extended opening weekend (December 5-9), including a special premiere show on December 4 in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Bengaluru. The film achieved the highest opening day earnings for a Hindi film with ₹72 crore nett in India, surpassing Jawan's ₹64 crore nett. It also managed to achieve the highest non-holiday and non-festival opening, despite releasing on a Thursday and not during a festival period.
On Sunday, December 8, the film saw a monumental figure, grossing ₹86 crore nett in India, making it the highest all-time high for any film. By December 8, Pushpa 2 became the fastest film to surpass ₹250 crore nett, and by December 9, it crossed ₹300 crore nett in India. The Hindi version of the film earned ₹291 crore nett at the domestic box office in its four-day opening weekend.
With such phenomenal success, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to break even more records, positioning itself as one of the most successful Indian films of all time.
