Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Sreenu, is a supernatural action thriller that blends multiple genres such as patriotism, science fiction and black magic to present a mass entertainer. As per Nizam distributor Dil Raju, the movie, along with its predecessor released in 2021, has unleashed Balakrishna as the pan-Indian superhero.
The film, with music composed by SS Thaman, draws on rituals. "When we open the film, we clearly establish that Akhanda undergoes Ashta Digbandhana for 12 years to achieve Ashta Siddhi. Once he attains it, he becomes a superhuman, equivalent to a superhero," director Boyapati Sreenu recently said.
