Aishwarya Lekshmi Distances Herself from Social Media
Aishwarya, who pursued medicine before entering films, has carved a niche for herself by choosing performance-driven roles over glamorous ones

Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has once again made headlines with her candid views on social media. The actress, known for speaking her mind, has made it clear that she has no intention of returning to social media platforms, regardless of how much money she is offered.
Aishwarya, who pursued medicine before entering films, has carved a niche for herself by choosing performance-driven roles over glamorous ones. Her impressive filmography includes Ponniyin Selvan 2, King of Kotha, Thug Life, Matti Kusthi, Godse, and several other successful films. She is currently working alongside Sai Durgha Tej in the upcoming Telugu film Sambarala Yeti Gattu.
Her comments come at a time when several actors are reassessing their relationship with social media.
Earlier, actress Anushka Shetty also announced a temporary break from social media. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she shared a handwritten note explaining that she wanted to step away from the digital world and reconnect with real life.
"Trading blue light to candle light... I will be stepping away from social media for a bit, just to reconnect to the world and work beyond the scrolling, to where we all actually started. See you all soon with more stories and more love... Smile always," Anushka wrote.
She captioned the post, "Love... always forever," drawing an emotional response from fans. One admirer commented, "Omgg you're coming back to the real world. Can't wait to see you, sweety."
With both Aishwarya Lekshmi and Anushka Shetty choosing to distance themselves from social media, it reflects a growing trend among celebrities who are prioritizing personal well-being and meaningful real-world experiences over constant online engagement.
