Actress Eesha Lodges Complaint Over Obscene Social Media Comments
Screenshots and Instagram account details submitted as evidence; police register case and begin investigation.
In her complaint, she charged that she is receiving obscene, sexually explicit, and defamatory comments on social media pages by an individual operating from a meme/social media account.
“The language used in the comment is deeply disturbing, derogatory, and amounts to mental harassment. Such content not only targets my dignity as a woman but also causes severe emotional distress and public humiliation,” Eesha stated in her complaint.
The actress underlined that the gravity of the language used and the psychological impact it has caused warrants a formal intervention by police as a deterrent. “I request SHO Banjara Hills to look into this issue, and take appropriate action,” the actress stated in her complaint.
When contacted on Wednesday, Banjara Hills SHO S. Suhasan, told Deccan Chronicle, “We have received a complaint from Esha Rebba. We have registered an FIR under the IT Act. Our cyber teams are collecting technical evidence. Action will be taken as per law.”
