Hyderabad: Actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is in a stable condition after sustaining a left knee injury during a film shoot in Rajahmundry.
He was initially treated at a local hospital before being airlifted to an AIG hospital for specialised evaluation and further management, according to a medical bulletin issued on Wednesday.
Doctors said the preliminary assessment revealed a localized collection of blood and inflammation in the tissues surrounding the left knee, indicating a possible muscle tear.
He is currently undergoing detailed clinical and diagnostic investigations under the supervision of a team of orthopaedic surgeons to determine the extent of the injury.
Hospital authorities said that, considering his medical history, a multidisciplinary team comprising specialists from various departments has been involved in evaluating his condition to ensure the safest course of treatment.
According to the bulletin, Balakrishna remains under close medical observation and his overall condition is stable. Doctors said the definitive treatment plan will be finalised after the ongoing clinical evaluation and diagnostic investigations are completed.
