Actor Aanchal GS Singh is preparing for a milestone moment in her career as she steps into her first major Bollywood film as a female lead. The upcoming Hindi thriller-mythology blend, Magical Wallet, pairs her opposite Jimmy Shergill, marking a significant on-screen collaboration. For Aanchal, the project represents more than just her Bollywood lead debut — it is a personal, full-circle moment connected to the spiritual city of Varanasi, where filming is set to begin in mid-February 2026.
The actor shared details about her character and the film’s unique narrative. “I play Jimmy Shergill’s wife — a deeply religious woman whose family is struggling until a mythological turning point transforms their lives. The story beautifully merges today’s world with mythology,” she said. She also recalled the recent poster shoot, adding, “We’ve completed the poster shoot, and capturing the mythological essence in visuals was an incredible experience.”
Varanasi holds a special place in Aanchal’s heart, making the long shooting schedule emotionally meaningful for her. “My parents visited Varanasi after my series release, but I could only join them for a day and missed the Maa Ganga aarti. I prayed to be called back — and now life has brought me there for a long schedule,” she shared, calling it a moment of personal alignment and gratitude.
Along with Magical Wallet, Aanchal confirmed that she has another upcoming project opposite Darshan Kumar and is currently in script discussions for an untitled Bollywood film with actor Darshan Kumar. Her filmography spans multiple Indian regional industries and international cinema. She has previously worked in Sinhala (Sri Lankan), Tamil, and Punjabi films, as well as OTT series and music videos.
The film brings together an experienced ensemble cast, including Sanjay Mishra, Ishtiyak Khan, and Ishtiyak Khan. “Jimmy Shergill and Sanjay Mishra sir are such versatile and senior artists. I’m working closely with the script to bring depth to the role and match the brilliance of the performances around me,” she said. Magical Wallet is written and directed by Nitin Kushwaha, and also features actor Ishtiyak Khan.
Aanchal emphasized her evolving approach toward role selection and long-term career intent. “I want to be recognized for strong performances, not just appearance. A good script is everything, and now I also evaluate the director’s vision and how the story will translate on screen,” she explained.
