Shah Rukh Khan’s home Mannat, underwent renovation last year, with major construction work beginning in May 2025.
Since then, Khan and his family have been temporarily living in a rented luxury duplex apartment in the Pali Hill area of Bandra.
Meanwhile, 'Mannat' came into the news yesterday when two snakes, entwined beneath a garden area of SRK's permanent residence, were found.
This prompted a research team of snake rescue officers and forest officials.
As the reptiles were spotted around 8 p.m. on August 17, snake rescuer Vicky Dubey was called to the Bandra West bungalow.
Following this, he informed Deepak Dada Gaikwad, a Forest Department Round Officer, and the Mumbai Range Office controller in Thane regarding the events.
Later on, Dubey succeeded in capturing one of the snakes safely, which measured almost 8 feet long. The reptile was identified as a Dhaman, or Indian Rat Snake. The snake is a non-venomous species and poses no threat to humans.
Meanwhile, as people managed to gather around the area, the second snake managed to get away from the place.
Its disappearance, however, distressed Mannat's security personnel and household members. Due to this, the search of the premises continued until late at night. In spite of all the efforts, the other reptile could not be located.
Meanwhile, Dubey assured those present at the site that the rescued snake was harmless and appealed to them not to panic.
Subsequently, the captured rat snake was released safely into its natural habitat, following the Forest Department protocols.
