Producer M Ramesh Reddy said that a film like 45, with its unique concept, has never been made by anybody else in the Indian film industry. There are elements touching upon Sanatana Dharma in 45, he added. Director Arjun Janya said, "We first visualized the movie, including the CGI, dialogues, and background score, and then went into the shoot." That way, the director saved on the costs and the film was made on a controlled budget.
Upendra spoke of his characterization in 45. "There is a dialogue in this film that connects back to my earlier film Om. Director Arjun Janya has used it very creatively here. He has composed music for over a hundred films, many of which were super hits," the actor stated.
Shiva Rajkumar endorsed the film's screenplay and story-telling. "Audiences will see a new kind of screenplay brought to life. Toward the end of this film’s shoot, I was diagnosed with cancer. Even while undergoing chemotherapy, I continued shooting. The team offered to make several adjustments for me, but I don't believe in cutting corners. So I did every scene that my character demanded," the Kannada superstar added.
