Salony walks out of Luthfudeen Bhaasha's untitled film

Salony says that the scipt narrated to her was very different from the one being shot.

Salony Luthra, who was critically acclaimed for her dual role in her debut film Sarabham, has controversially walked out of Luthfudeen Bhaasha’s (son of veteran actor Nasser) untitled film where the latter turns hero. Luthfudeen, who played a small role in AL Vijay’s Saivam, had been roped in for a movie as the lead protagonist, directed by Dhanapal Padmanabhan of Krishnaveni Panchalai fame.

Three heroines namely Aishwarya Rajesh, Salony Luthra and a Singapore model were brought on board. The movie which went on floors recently is being produced by Arumaichandran who made Om Shanthi Om. Even as the film began its shoot in Singapore, sources close to the unit inform us that Salony walked out of the project on the second day due to creative differences that cropped up between her and the director. She is back in Mumbai now!

Salony, who has a theatre background, gives her explanation —– “When they approached me, I was involved in a Play Festival in Mumbai and was continuously working on stage for 45 days. The main issue was that the script, which was narrated to me on the phone and what was being shot in Singapore, was very different. So I decided to come out of the film. Also, there were too many people in the cast which I was not aware of.”

She adds, “I expected a substantial role in it, like my first film Sarabham, but I was not convinced with my portions. Though a bit disappointed, I took a conscious decision to leave the project. But, there were no arguments or fight per se — it was mutually agreed upon.”
