Aamir Khan reunites with 'Rang De Basanti' cast as film completes 10 years

Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, along with his cast and crew launched a book, and documentary on the making of the film.
This Republic day, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's motivational classic 'Rang De Basanti' (RDB) completes 10 years.- Aamir also revealed that his film 'Dangal' was almost complete with only 10% of the film still to be shot. The actor will however have to drop 25 kgs before he gets back to the sets.
- \"I am open to work with her only if she is ready and also if there is a right script, characters then why not,\" he said. He also said he had nothing to do with Sunny's personal life. \"I hope she would like to work with me,\" he said.
- At the event, the actor stood up to support Sunny Leone and said he would love to work with her, if she would also like to work with him. He said, \"When I saw the interview, I was hurt. She was asked some questions. When she was asked about working with Aamir she said no. I was hurt by this.\"
- Apart from answering questions about the film, Aamir answered a few questions about his future flicks and about current affairs.
- In an interview, the director said, When the film was released in 2006, corruption had reached a flash-point. Five years after its release, I saw my daughter who was seven then and her friends connecting with the issues that the had film raised. Now my 15-year old connects with the same issues in RDB just as deeply.â€
- Rakeysh says the issues that the film raised are pertinent to this day, though the winds of changes are discernible.
- As for the documentary, Ru-ba-ru captures the film's journey.
- The book also contains interviews with Aamir Khan, A R Rahman and has 50-70 rare pictures.
- Talking about the book, Rakyesh said, “The screenplay for RDB' was done by Kamlesh Pandey, Rensil d'Silva and me. The book puts together the screenplay.â€
- The team also released a documentary on the making of the film that they entitled Ru-ba-ru'.
- In an interview with DC, the director said, “The entire RDB team meets on January 25 at the PVR Juhu. Ajay Bijli of PVR is flying in from Delhi to join us. PVR had just started when we released RDB. It was a big moment for film distribution and marketing and we we were proud to be part of it.â€
- Team RDB' launched the film's screenplay in the form of a book.
- To commemorate the occasion, the director and his cast assembled at a local multiplex in Mumbai, to launch a book and documentary.
