However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) maintains their stand that the film should not be considered as banned in Pakistan.
Director Ram Madhavi was all smiles after news broke that 'Neerja' was not banned in Pakistan, but that the film's import NOC was revoked.
Athiya Shetty, who made her debut with 'Hero' also attended the screening.
Sonam Kapoor called on some of her young new Bollywood friends to the film screening.

Director Farah Khan was among the lucky few to catch a screening of the film a whole week before it hits theatres nation wide.
Sonam's co-star, Shekar Ravjiani who made his Bollywood debut with this film, also attended the special screening.
Sonam, who plays the leading role of Neerja Bhanot in the biopic, looked stunning in Anamika Khanna couture.
