Salman uncle won’t let his two protégées kiss

By now every Salman fan knows he doesn’t like lip-locks on screen. He has never kissed in a movie and never will. But he has taken it to another level — Salman won’t let his protégées kiss either.

At an event to promote Hero the actor said: “There was never a kiss in Hero. Nikhil (the director) didn’t want it. Sooraj didn’t want it. Aathiya didn’t want it. I didn’t want it.”

Wondering if he was imposing his own stubborn morality on newcomers, we asked Sooraj if he was indeed opposed to kissing on screen and the youngster said there were other ways to project intimacy between the leads.

Some time ago, actress Sonakshi Sinha, who Salman had introduced too, went about propagating a similar morality about a simple kiss on screen. She’ll never kiss on screen, she had said.
