Guru Nanak University Launches SAP-Integrated B.Tech Program to Boost Industry-Ready Skills

New collaboration with SAP aims to bridge academia-industry gap by offering hands-on enterprise technology training

Guru Nanak University (GNU) has taken a major step toward bridging the gap between academia and industry by launching its SAP Integrated B.Tech Program at the university campus in Hyderabad. This new initiative aims to equip students with advanced enterprise technology skills highly sought after by global corporations.

The launch event was attended by senior representatives from leading tech companies including HCL Technologies, TCS, LTI Mindtree, and UST, all known for recruiting SAP-certified professionals to drive digital transformation.

The SAP program, developed in partnership with certified training providers and supported by SAP Gold Partner Nobl Q, integrates hands-on training in core SAP modules alongside the university’s B.Tech curriculum. It focuses on both front-end and back-end enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools, addressing India’s growing demand for skilled ERP experts.

Sardar Gagandeep Singh Kohli, Chancellor of GNU, said, “This SAP program is more than a course—it’s a gateway for students to become global professionals ready to lead in the digital era.” Vice Chancellor Dr. H.S. Saini added, “Our commitment is to close the skill gap and prepare students with globally competitive capabilities, reinforcing GNU’s vision as a hub for future-ready professionals.”

Vinay Chopra, Director of Training & Placements at GNU, highlighted the program’s role in enhancing placement success through strong industry linkages. Rajeev Singh, Vice President & Head of Mid-Markets, SAP Indian Subcontinent, emphasized the importance of such collaborations in fostering innovation and preparing the workforce of tomorrow.

The launch marked a collective commitment to continually update GNU’s curriculum to align with evolving industry standards and the demands of the digital economy.
