British Council to Host Virtual Pre-Departure Briefing for Indian Students Heading to UK
Session on July 29 to offer visa tips, travel advice, and first-hand insights from UK alumni
The British Council, the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural exchange, has invited Indian students holding offers from UK institutions to attend its virtual Study UK Pre-Departure Briefing on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. IST.
The online session aims to provide practical advice on preparing for life and studies in the UK. Key topics include visa processes, health and wellbeing, travel and accommodation tips, and first-hand accounts from UK alumni and current students. Representatives from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), UK universities, and the British Universities’ International Liaison Association (BUILA) will also be present to guide and interact with attendees.
Students will gain insights into accessing healthcare, understanding insurance policies, managing budgets, and adjusting to a new academic environment. The session is designed to ensure that students are well-informed and confident ahead of their academic journey abroad.
