Hyderabad: The Director of Medical Education has issued orders for posting 1,159 specialist doctors under mandatory government service in 26 government medical college hospitals in 25 districts. Candidates who have completed the PG will have to compulsorily work in government hospitals for a year. The doctors will be enrolled with a stipend of `92,575 a month.

As per this provision, the candidates will be given an opportunity in hospitals of their choice. Twentyfive types of specialties will be provided in in the districts.

The decision has been taken to provide quality medical services to people in various districts across the state and to this effect, earlier assistant professors were recruited and promoted, to extend health services in districts.
