287 JNTUCEA students get campus placements

ANANTAPUR: Despite the recession, students of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering Anantapur (JNTUCEA) have got exemplary placements in 2023.

The college campus on Saturday celebrated the placement of 287 JNTUCEA students in 17 organisations, including multinational companies (MNCs).

Since 1946, the institute has grown multi-fold by setting higher benchmarks each year. The college has created an exceptional placement record right from its inception. The placement numbers did not fall even during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The proactive placement team of the college continuously interacts with various MNCs for ensuring jobs for the JNTUCEA pass-outs. The average salary offered in 2023 is ₹5 lahks per annum, with the highest package being ₹10.08 lakh per annum.

Core companies like Hetero Labs, Deccan Fine Chemicals, Medha Servo Drives, Alstom Group, Indo-Mim, Mewurk Technologies and Alten India have shown interest in recruiting students. Significantly, most of the students who have got placements this year are from rural backgrounds.

Speaking on the occasion, JNTUA vice chancellor Prof. G. Ranga Janardhana wished all selected students a bright professional career. He asked the selected students to share their experiences on preparations for campus recruitment drives with their juniors in the college.

Among those present at the meeting were university rector Prof. M. Vijay Kumar, registrar Prof. C. Sashidhar, director (Placements) Prof. V. Sumalatha, JNTUCEA principal Prof. P. Sujatha, vice principal Prof. R. Bhavani and TPO Dr J. Sreenivasulu.

Principal Sujatha said despite recession, JNTUCEA students from several branches of the college have succeeded in campus selections with effective packages.
