International CCODE – 2023 meet begins in Tirupati

TIRUPATI: The fourth International Conference on Computing, Communication and Data Engineering (CCODE) – 2023, along with ASPIRE 2.0 – a national level students’ technical festival – commenced at the Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) in Tirupati on Friday.

Being hosted by the university’s Department of Computer Science, the two-day conference will cover topics like emerging technologies, protocols, design, implementation, applications, methodologies, best practices and case studies of computing, communication and data engineering.

Inaugurating the global meet, SPMVV registrar Prof. N. Rajini praised the role of data engineers in developing effective solutions during emergency situations, such as COVID-19 pandemic. She highlighted the significance of computing and communication in achieving success in the global scenario.

Prof. Rajini called for convergence of computing, communications, and virtual technologies. “By leveraging these technologies, we can create a more interconnected and efficient world, which is better equipped in meeting challenges of the future,” she underlined.

Prof. R. Anandan, Director of Innovation and Incubation at Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies, spoke on the latest developments in metaverse, Internet of Things, and the role AI and Chat GPT models are currently playing. He highlighted initiatives, such as disappearing computers and related research and development, which will pave way for a future that is beyond our current imagination.

Earlier, in his opening address, conference chairman Prof. P. Venkata Krishna underlined that they have received 200 technical papers, of which domain experts and technical reviewers have after thorough review accepted about 70 papers for publication.

Conference co-chairpersons Prof. V. Saritha and Prof. M. Usharani and Prof. T. Sudha, chairman of Computer Science Department's Board of Studies, were among those who spoke.
