29,088 Kakinada students to appear Class X examinations

Kakinada: Kakinada revenue officer K. Sridhar Reddy on Thursday announced that 29,988 students will be appearing for Class X examinations from April 3 to April 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at 136 centres in the district.

The officer reviewed arrangements for examinations with education, open school society, postal department, transport, electricity, medical and education, panchayat raj and municipal, revenue, police and other officials.

Sridhar Reddy said all arrangements have been made to conduct the examinations in a smooth manner. He wanted officials to closely coordinate with each other in transporting examination papers from storage points to examination centres under escort.

The officer said in view of the summer, they are making arrangements for providing drinking water. Power department has been requested to make available uninterrupted power supply during the duration of examinations. Medical and health department officials have been asked to set up medical camps at the examination centres.

Sridhar Reddy said open school SSC and intermediate examinations will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 7,341 students of them will be attending these examinations.

Kakinada district education officer K.N.V.S. Annapurna, assistant commissioner of examinations V. Rajasekhar, secretary M. Venkatrao, Open School Society officer P. Sai Venkata Ramana, district panchayat officer R. Victor, medical officer Dr. Pavani, and Kakinada Municipal Corporation health officer Dr. Prudhwi Charan were among those present.
