Kakinada: Three teaching faculty members – professor Dr. A. Gopalakrishna, professor R. Srinivasa Rao and assistant professor D. Linga Raju – of JNTU Kakinada have been selected for State Teachers Awards by the AP government.
University vice chancellor G.V.R. Prasada Raju said professor Gopalakrishna received the award for devising a bike ambulance to be used for transporting ailing tribal people.
Professor Srinivasa Rao received the award for devising a fault-detection equipment.
Assistant professor Linga Raju received the Young Scientist Award for taking up several projects.
The vice chancellor congratulated the three awardees.
