Guntur: GGH to commence knee surgery from February
Guntur: Minister for medical and health, K. Srinivas discharges from Government General Hospital (GGH) Guntur. Mr. Srinivas who underwent total knee surgery recovered swiftly and returned to home on Wednesday morning after discharging from GGH at Guntur.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivas said that doctors, nurses and other staffs of the GGH rendered their services dedicatedly which helped him to recover swiftly and thanked them.
He said he believes that his treatment in the GGH inculcated confidence among the public about getting good treatment in the GGH which experienced some bad things in the recent past.
He said that physiotherapy and walk is important and doctors suggested him three weeks of physiotherapy. He said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, collected all information about developments in the the GGH.
Mr Srinivas said that '60 crore was required for the development of GGH. Hence, the government is taking all steps for the betterment of GGH. He assured about the development of all state hospitals and providing total knee surgery facility in the government hospitals.
He said knee surgery facility will be available in public-private partnership in the GGH from February with the cooperation of Sai Bhaskar Multi-specialty Hospital and appealed to the public to make good use of the facility.
District medical and health officer Dr T. Padmaja Rani, GGH superintendent Dr D.S. Raju Naidu and GGH doctors conducted health check-up to the minister.
