Bengaluru: Neglected' three-year-old picked up by police, parents allege harassment
Mysuru: A three-year-old boy was picked by the State Juvenile Police Unit ten days ago and put in the Bapu Ji Children’s home here as they allege he was found lying neglected. However, his parents claim he was forcibly taken away from their home and are making daily trips to the children’s home pleading for his release.
Putti, the mother of the child said, “We may be illiterate and poorest of poor, but that doesn’t mean we do not love our kid. The child was picked by police when it was sleeping at home.” Putti and Mahadev are residents of Hinkal here.
When contacted Mysuru City Police Commissioner B. Dayanand said, “The child was found neglected near Ring road junction at Hinkal. Following a public complaint the child was rescued and given to Bapu Ji Children’s Home. This is the second time child has been found to be left neglected like that, hence the CWC is wary of giving the child to parents.”
