2 from Hyderabad identified as fighting for ISIS in Syria

They joined the ISIS in 2015.

Hyderabad: Arshad Ayub from Tolichowki and Dubai-based Hyderabadi native Khadeer have been identified as two persons from the state fighting for the terror group ISIS in Syria.

A senior TS police official said, “Khadeer was working in Dubai for a few years and went to Syria along with Arshad. They joined the ISIS in 2015. Some other members of NRI families in the Gulf, including in Saudi Arabia, are under the lens.”

Another suspect hailing from Guntur, AP, who migrated to Kuwait and later to the US, is also believed to be in Syria.

A top AP police officer said, “One Rehman of Guntur went to Hyderabad and migrated to Kuwait eight years ago. He later went to Texas University in the US, from where he went missing. Agencies in the US and India are on his trail.”

DC had reported on January 7 that three members from NRI families hailing from AP and TS were fighting for the terror group. Earlier one Mohammed Haneef Waseem, 27, from Mancherial in Adilabad died in Syria fighting for the ISIS in May 2015.
