HCU suicide: Continue fight, says BR Ambedkar's grandson

Prakash ambedkar told students that their protests have started a new debate in the country.

Hyderabad: Prakash Ambedkar, the grandson of B.R. Ambedkar, visited UoH on Monday and told students that their protests have started a new debate in the country.

He attacked the BJP-led government and said that its ideology does not allow dialogues as it just wants to take decisions based on vedic traditions and implement them without being questioned.

He said, “You have raised your voice against this government. It has taken notice but is not bothered yet. It must be ensured that in every state capital students took out protests which will make this government come to the dialogue table.”

He said that protests have already started in Mumbai.

Referring to five letters from the MHRD to the UoH VC on the Susheel Kumar of ABVP versus Ambedkar Students Association issue, Mr Ambedkar said that it should be first investigated whether the HRD minister has a right to sent a letter to the VC under the Central University Act or under the UoH special Act.

Referring to the RSS, he said that it is ready with a new constitution and is just waiting for a new Constituent Assembly.
