Hindu outfit members held for bull taming
Defying the ban, members of Indu Makkal Katchi came with a bull to hold the event near a temple.
Coimbatore: The Singanallur police arrested 28 members of a Hindu outfit for attempting to organise a bull-taming event at Singanallur.
Defying the ban, members of Indu Makkal Katchi came with a bull to hold the event near a temple.
However, police intervened and removed them from the spot.
They had planned to organise the event demanding to lift the ban on the traditional sport of jallikattu and also sought a ban on People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which is acting against the interests of the culture and tradition of Tamils.
