Hyderabad: Former MLA Prem Singh Rathore, who quit the BJP and later withdrew his resignation, on Friday jumped over to the TRS on Saturday, leaving his party shell-shocked.
The BJP’s ally, the TD, too received a jolt after party secretary Bandi Ramesh from Serilingampally, former corporator Prakash Goud and several other leaders joined the TRS.
However, news of TD MLA Arekapudi Gandhi joining the TRS that created a buzz in political circles turned out to be false with Mr Gandhi threatening a defamation case against those behind the rumours.
Mr Rathore surfaced at the Telangana Bhavan along with his supporters on Saturday and joined the TRS.
