Hyderabad: Panchayat raj minister K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday accused the Opposition of distorting his comments on tendering his resignation if the TRS fails to bag the mayor’s seat.
He also clarified that TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao will only address a public meeting either at the Parade Grounds or another venue in the city on January 30.
“The CM will not undertake padayatra or road shows to avoid causing traffic jams and inconvenience to people,” Mr Rama Rao said.
“I said that if TRS flag doesn’t flutter over the GHMC office and if we don’t bag the mayor’s seat, I will resign. I threw a challenge to Uttam Kumar Reddy and G. Kishan Reddy. However, others like Shabbir Ali are challenging me,” he said.
