Ahmedabad: One may have seen a traditional-looking bride doing the regular rituals but what about entering a marriage hall on a bike?
26-year-old Ayesha Upadhayay from Ahmedabad, who is a computer science professor by profession, entered her wedding venue riding a bike, instead of arriving in a 'doli'.
“Since I was 13-years-old, I have been riding the bike. We also have a biker group”, she says. “I love riding bullet bikes and I told my parents that I want to enter my wedding venue on a bike and not in a 'doli'”, she adds.
Incidentally, Ayesha’s husband Lokik, who is a businessman, does not know how to ride a bike. “I will take him on a ride after marriage,” she quips.
