Nellore: Visitors, especially children, to the Sri Venkateswara Zoo Park in Tirupati are enthralled over arrangements made by the zoo authorities to show the activity of one month old cute lion cubs with their mother. Usually the newborn cubs will not be brought into enclosure for public viewing till six months.
The authorities, who have already fixed CC Cameras to monitor the behaviour and health of the animal and the cubs, arranged a big screen TV with a cable connection from cameras for displaying the cubs and the lioness to visitors since last three days.
“It is a rare opportunity for visitors particularly children to watch the cubs and attitude of the lioness with them. They are very happy and the number of visitors is increasing after arranging the TV,” Sri Venkateswara Zoo Park curator Y. Srinivasa Reddy said. He said that the cubs grow very fast and their size will be almost similar to their mother within two years.
