Hyderabad: Police on Thursday seized Rs 4.10 lakh unaccounted cash that was being transported in a car, during vehicle checking in Safilguda.
When B. Mahender Reddy, the person transporting the cash, could not provide any documents related to the money, it was handed over to the I-T department for further investigation.
Keeping in view the GHMC election, police across the city has intensified vehicle checking and patrolling.
On Wednesday, police had seized Rs 1.22 crore unaccounted cash at various locations in the city.
The cops had seized Rs 92 lakh from Banjara Hills, Rs 15.28 lakh from Malkajgiri and Rs 15 lakh in Hayathnagar.
