Hyderabad: AP doctor freed on bail in the us
Hyderabad: AP origin psychiatrist Dr Nagareddy Narendra Kumar Reddy who was arrested by Clayton County police of the US for allegedly killing patients with overdoses has been released on bail.
According to Mr Vijay Bhaskar, the attorney of Dr Narendra, “Dr Narendra was arrested on January 15 and was released on bail on the same day. His office and home were raided by the authorities but no seizures were made. It is too early to draw conclusions. There is no clarity regarding the time-frame of these deaths. No controversies were reported against Dr Narendra before this incident.”
Meanwhile several Hyderabad doctors have defended Dr Narendra. Dr K. Chandrasekhar, a consultant psychiatrist said, “I know Dr Naredra since he joined the Institute of Mental Health in Hyderabad 30 years ago. Over the years I found him to be a socially committed person. He was always helping the poor."
