Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to complete all road projects in the State before the schedule and at the same time ensure the works did not lack in quality. He was reviewing the road works with officials of the R&B department here on Monday.
Mr Naidu instructed the officials to complete the Amaravati Outer Ring Road (ORR) project, Vijayawada-Machilipatnam Road, Chilakaluripet bypass road, Vijayawada-Gundugolanu road, Nandigama bypass road, Kanchikacherla bypass road, Nellore-Tada road, Nellore-Chilakaluripet road works immediately.
He said the government would give incentives to contractors who would complete the works early. Soon, he added: “Those delaying works will be blacklisted.” He enquired about the progress of connectivity road between Amaravati capital and the Rayalaseema districts. The repairs should be completed without any delay, he added.
The chief minister also asked the officials to check the status of road works using drones. The government would link the GPS system to roads stretching for 50,000 km in AP. Mr Naidu also clarified that the Durga temple flyover should be completed before the Pushkarams. The chief minsiter released Rs 50 crore when the officials said that Rs 109 crore was required for development of various roads. Several officials were present.
