Hyderabad: As many as 51 persons approached Fever Hospital with dog bites and were vaccinated on Monday. Among these, 15 were children below 10 years of age who came to the hospital with mild bites.
A senior doctor on condition of anonymity said, “Most of the cases are from Ranga Reddy district. These people were bitten by dogs on Saturday but came to the hospital on Monday.” He said they had been administered first aid locally but came to the hospital for anti-rabies injections.
He said the children were bitten while they were flying kites near their homes. Some of the others had harassed dogs that retaliated, a senior nurse at the hospital said.
