VM Sudheeran puts onus on Oomen Chandy

Mr Sudheeran alleged that the CBI probe into Lavalin case was shallow.

Malappuram: Former finance minister KM Mani's re-entry to the state Cabinet will be decided by Chief Minister Oomen Chandy, said KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran.

He was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the Jana Raksha Yatra led by him that reached the district on Thursday. "It is CM's discretion to take the final call," he said.

Mr Sudheeran said that with the latest Vigilance report becoming public, the claims of bar owners' have gone in vain.

According the Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau's second report, there is no evidence that Mr Mani accepted bribe from bar owners.

The report also sought closure of bar bribery case against Mr Mani.

Mr Sudheeran alleged that the CBI probe into Lavalin case was shallow. "This is why the government has to approach the High Court with a fresh plea," he added.
