Bengaluru: National Security Guard (NSG) and Garuda commandos performed a mock drill for terror attack on the Vidhana Soudha premises on Wednesday evening. The drill was supervised by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vidhana Soudha Security, where around 110 commandos of both the special forces participated.
“The drill started at 6:15 pm and ended by 9 pm where they were given instructions as to how to take control of the situation whenever a terror attack arises. How the commandos will sensitize the public and what is the role of the local police during the operation,” the ACP said. The commandos will conduct these kinds of drills at many selected places in the city and other cities of the state, so they get an insight about their area of operation and get accustomed to the place, the supervising officer said.
