Sringar: Hardline Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani too has joined the chorus against Pakistan’s reported plan to make Gilgit-Baltistan region of the State that country’s fifth province.
In a statement issued in Srinagar on Wednesday, he cautioned that merging Gilgit-Baltistan with Pakistan “will harm the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir and it will also serve as a certificate to India for its illegal and forced occupation of this state and no such action will be acceptable to the Kashmiri people”.
