FIR against Nawazuddin Siddiqui for 'assaulting' woman

Complainant said her 24-year-old daughter was manhandled by the actor, his brother and support staff.

Mumbai: The Mumbai police on Sunday registered an FIR against actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for allegedly pushing a woman and behaving inappropriately with her after a dispute over a parking space.

The actor was charged under Section 354 of the IPC that deals with assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty. The complainant said her 24-year-old daughter was manhandled by the actor, his brother and support staff on Sunday afternoon.

The complainant and the actor live in the same housing society in Mumbai. The woman told the police that her housing society has a dispute with Nawazuddin who was staying there since a year and completely occupied the parking space of the building. Her daughter was alle-gedly manhandled and physically pushed by the actor's brother and support staff when she went to take photographs of the actor again occupying the parking space.

Soon after the incident, the complainant and her daughter went to the Versova police station to complaint. At around 6 pm, the police registered an FIR.
